The Bridge is a side quest that is given by the sergeant upstairs in the garrison at Darsov.

Walkthrough

Find the brigands on the Valeshire bridge, after dark

Sergeant will inform you about bandits terrorizing people on the Valeshire bridge after dark. If it's not night time, then you can either rest at an Inn or simply wait.

The beginning of the quest

During the night, Egbert will be confronted by a brigand when Alcedor will interrupt them. You can choose to fight the brigand or accept his bribe. Your decision will determine your shield spell upgrade and influence your moral level.

• Accept the bribe. The brigand will give 100 and run away. Egbert will survive, but is never seen again. After the quest, a cult wizard will be on the bridge, selling the Thorn Shield Spell.
  -4 morality
• Fight the brigand. You will fight him, which rewards you 90 XP after killing him. After the quest, the watermill will be repaired and Egbert will be inside, selling the Regen Shield Spell.

Return to the sergeant in the Darsov Garrison

After the encounter, you will need return to the sergeant, he will reward you with 100 . After the quest, the Valeshire bridge will change either for better or worse. There, you will be able to buy one of the shield upgrade spells.
