The Red Eye is much more dangerous version of Blue Eye demon. They can also be spawned by Eyelord.

Unlike the Blue Eye counterpart, they move slightly faster and move in wave pattern (just like medusa heads from Castlevania). Thankfully they are same vulnerable as Blue Eye demon.
It is advice have same approach as to Blue Eye demon. Try to lure it towards you away from platforms and other enemies or traps.
