Paimon True Form is, as the name suggests, the true form of Paimon, the very first boss Alcedor may face in the game. This demon can only be fought as part of the quest Paimon Returns, which is only available if you fought Paimon at the start of the game instead of just killing the possessed man.
Strategy[]
Upon speaking the magic words given to him by Alan, the Wizard of Kastski, Alcedor will be teleported to a realm filled with spider webs and cocoons. He will subsequently be attacked by the demon in his true form, that of a gigantic spider.
Paimon's weak spot remains its crimson belly, with the rest of the body being invulnerable to damage.
Much like in his initial encounter, Paimon will use a fire breath, however, it now has a longer reach, making it harder to play keepaway without getting hit. However, if Alcedor crouches in close proximity to Paimon, the fire breath will miss him, making it possible to avoid the attack while dishing out significant damage to the monstrosity.
Paimon will occasionally rapidly skitter towards one of the walls of his webbed realm. He may trample Alcedor if the crusader is in the way, due to the size of the demon, a Skycall-boosted jump is needed to avoid this. Paimon will then climb the wall and start crawling on the ceiling.
While on the ceiling, Paimon is invulnerable to most things, as his belly cannot be attacked from below. He will drop several groups of 3-4 egg sacs from the ceiling, these can damage Alcedor if they fall on him. If left unattended, they will hatch into Roaches after a few seconds. Guided Strike can easily wipe out a cluster of egg sacs in one fell swoop before they hatch if one prefers to avoid dealing with the Roaches. Eventually Paimon will return to the ground and become attackable again.
