Horned-L stands for Horned Lancer which separates it from Horned-S and Horned-A due to wielding different weapon.

Horned are undead, who are capable of wielding weapons same way as human enemies. Superior version of this demon is Putrid, and weaker version is Skeleton. For specific type choose: Horned-A, Horned-S and Horned-L.
They appear as human skeletons with horned skulls which name comes from. They can use weapons just like humans unlike other common demons and more agile than of common skeletons.
Horned will use weapons that can be blocked with a shield and their projectiles can be reflected with Precision Strike. Major difference between Skeletons and Horned is that they can kneel in order to throw projectile or strike with a weapon where before simple skeletons could not.
Gameplay[]
What makes them different than Skeleton-L is ability to kneel down. They are patrolling until engaged in combat, then they start swinging lancer. You can block a lancer attack with the shield.
