Infernax Wiki

"Through of common birth, Cervul showed promise from a young age, and was chosen personally by Alcedor to serve as his squire."

Cervul is the deuteragonist and secondary playable character of Infernax. He was introduced in the couch co-op update Deux or Die, where two people can play as him and Alcedor. He is Alcedor's trusty squire.

Cervul wears a mail coif, a type of armor that covers the head and neck areas. Unlike Alcedor, he has a blue tunic with a white cross over his armor. His signature weapons are throwing axes and crossbow. During the evil route his outfit becomes red and bulky and he switches to bombs and poisoned knives.

Lore[]

Intro Co-op Cutscene[]

Cervul is the squire of Alcedor and son of Harold, the local dung shoveler. and heir to the Brown Mound.[1] Cervul follows Alcedor's steps during his quest on Upel.

Gameplay[]

Cervul wields an unlimited supply of throwing axes that can be thrown constantly. Depending on the direction held while attacking, the angle of throw can vary. For example: If the player is holding forward, the axes will be thrown much further away. When standing still axes will fly upwards and closer to the character. While crouching, axes will fly even more upwards and even closer to the character. Holding down while holding forward will cause the axes to be tossed at a very low angle.

Cervul's can't cast spells but has a number of tools at his disposal. The evil route does replace some of his tools with magical abilities, however they still don't cost magic to use.

Trivia[]

  • The fact that the wall chicken reminds Cervul of his mother's cooking indicates that his mother is a very awful cook.
  • Cervul is more sarcastic and witty compared to the more straightforward Alcedor.
  • Cervul does not have a good relationship with his father, who was proud of his humble position and took it personally when Cervul pursued a more glamorous position as Alcedor's squire.
