Alcedor is the main protagonist of Infernax, whom the player controls. He holds the title of Duke and is a returning crusader. Alcedor wears plate armor with a tunic that has a red cross emblem on it, as well as a red headband around his head. His preferred weapon is a mace and a shield. During the evil route, Alcedor's tunic is all red and he wields a longsword as his main weapon.

This is where Alcedor's adventure begins...

Arrival to Upel

Alcedor arrives to the shores of Upel on a small boat as he gets welcomed by gruesome scenes and spawns of hell. He ventures for Darsov while battling monsters on his way. Upon arrival, Alcedor meets Sir Tancred and assists him. Upon arriving to Darsov Cathedral, Alcedor has vision of demonic entity while beast breaks through the gates, Alcedor and guards wounding it as it retreats. After defeating the beast, he meets with Father Henry who tells him about the Urzon Citadel and the five seals that need to be broken.

Gameplay

Alcedor's mace range helps him to keep distance from enemies such as undead and roaches. Players still need to be quite close to fight and can be difficult if enemies or weak points for bosses is located above ground level.

Alcedor also wields a shield which deflects projectiles. Character must not perform any attacks to block, he will block most of the projectiles that could be also deflected. Also blocks enemies melee attacks such as swords.

Trivia

• Alcedor's name was inspired by the name of one of the developers, Lachhh, wife's grandfather.
• The default name used for new save files is Alcedor specifically, using both uppercase and lowercase characters. The virtual keyboard used for inputting new names only contains uppercase letters, so this is the only case where a save file's name can have lowercase letters.
• Depending on your choices, Alcedor’s personality can range from a protective, kindhearted lord to a bloodthirsty madman lusting for conquest. He will always be a rather straightforward and stoic man though.
